Altenew Academy - Class Seven,Celebration: Stencil Techniques

Class Seven in the Altenew Academy "Celebration: Stencil Techniques" focuses on different ways to introduce stencils in your card makes.

For my class submission I have selected this card created with Floral Drape Stencil, incorporating techniques from Lesson 4.

For my class submission I wanted to play with alternate themes within my card design. I chose to use the pretty Floral Drape stencil, I lightly blended my inks through the stencil to build a soft background. I added splatters of ink in the same colour palette to break up the edges of the stencil design and further soften the image.

I added bold mats and layers in stake contrast to the soft background, and repeated this layering in my sentiment. The "with" has been white heat embossed on black card, while the "love" is die cut from the same striped card as the layers.

A few sequins add a little sparkle while framing the sentiment.
