Altenew Academy - Level 2, Class Nine, Magical Maker Techniques

Class 9 of Altenew Academy Level 2, "Magical Maker Techniques" focuses on different ways to use marker pens in card making designs.

For my class submission I have chosen this card created using Inked Rose stamp set and the guide in lesson 3.

Rather than recreating the full lesson, I wanted to concentrate on the vellum aspect. I love the soft look vellum can add to your designs.

For my focal image I stamped the flower and leaves from the inked rose stamped set using embossing ink and white embossing powder to the vellum. Once the embossing powder had been heated and sealed, I flipped the image over and coloured it in using Chameleon Pens, blending my colours from light to dark.

I decided on a simple background of a monochrome theme, the striking pattern to the lower half of the card panel shows through the vellum of the stamped images. A few black enamel dots frame the image while a sentiment finishes it.
