Altenew Academy - Level 2, Class Six, Beautiful Details
Class 6 of the Altenew Academy Level 2, "Beautiful Details" offer many tips and tricks to add different finishing details to your card makes using different mediums.
For my class submission I have chosen this card featuring Ornamental Flower stamp set and the guide from Lesson 3 majestic flower.

I was really taken with this lesson, the idea of layering your stamped image then adding further colour and depth using colouring pencils was something I was keen to try.
I stamped my image using my altenew inks to build up the coloured layers. Once dry I began picking out areas with sharp pencils, working from light to dark. I added further details to the petals and leaves, giving the images more roundness and depth.
Wanting to keep the focus on the stamped image, I opted for a fairly simple background, a strip of patterned paper to one side of the card panel on which the stamp image sits raised on foam pads. My sentiment is a simple white heat embossing on black card, while a few black enamel dots draw the design together.
