ATC Monday #010 - "Circus Grunge"

As the libaray of ATCs grows I want to also include projects from other artists who have inspired me.

This week I pay homage to fellow DecoArt Media Design Team member Mark Gould. Links to his Facebook page and his blog.

I attended Marks' Circus Grunge Box workshop last year and was really taken with how Mark adapts bright colours, applying washes and layers to give his work a signature grunge vibe. The yellow and red, so reminiscent of a circus tent, give such a striking look to this project.

Taking those striking colours I used them as the base for my ATC, applying washes to knock back the colours and cement the grungy look.

I also incorporated the gentleman figure as seen on the box, to tie the project together.
