Step One

Paint a base layer of Titan Buff on to the ATC. Build layers of washes, first Prussian Blue Hue followed by Dioxazine Purple.
Start with a light wash over the surface of the ATC, building this to a more intense colour to the edges.
Step Two

Add another layer of wash to the ATC, this time using Paynes Grey. Again, build the intensity of the wash, concentrating depth of colour to the edges of the piece.
Step Three

Once all the washes are fully dry, stamp your chosen image using Jet Black Staz-On ink.
Seal the ATC in a layer of Decoupage Matte Glue.
Once the glue is fully dry, paint a layer of Crackle Glaze over the ATC.
Remember, thinner areas of glaze will result in fine cracks, whereas areas of thicker glaze will produce wider cracks.
Step Four

When the Glaze is completely dry, paint the entire surface in Carbon Black Antiquing Cream, ensuring the cream penetrates all the crackles.
Step Five

Buff away the excess Antiquing Cream, leaving behind the black cream in the crackles, to give an aged look to your piece.
