ATC Monday #019 - Cameo Cover
Monday night rolls around again and tonight we have a new ATC with a vintage style to add to our collection.
I set out to create a step by step tutorial for this particular ATC, but, as often happens, got a little carried away with the discovery process. As I built the layers I stumbled across a vintage style which I really liked.
The DecoArt chalk paints I used gave the impression of a well loved, leather bound book cover. I wanted to play on this idea, adding a gilt gold painted surround, in to which I popped an old photo. Further embellishments of gold and pearls drew on a treasure like vibe.
As previously discussed; I find creatings ATCs a great learning process and feel this particular style could very easily be expanded to offer a fun and different workshop. More details on that to follow... once I find a suitable teaching space and willing students!
