Floral Card Step by Step Guide
Create a vibrant card following these easy steps.
Step 1 Trim a piece of white card to 5 1/4" by 6 3/4". Align the card in your stamping platform with a sheet of paper behind. Begin stamping your chosen image in Memento Tuxedo Black.
Step 2 Continue stamping your design to begin filling the card panel. Stamp off the edges of the panel and vary the size and orientation of stamps to give a more authentic look.
Step 3 Cover the whole of the card panel with stamp images. Be sure to include images over the edges too.
Step 4 Begin colouring the stamped images. By using Memento ink to stamp with, it allows you to colour with alcohol markers with no risk of interaction between the pens and ink.
For my images I have used Chameleon Pens and Color Tops, for green GR4 Evergreen base, YG3 Spring Meadow mid colour, GR1 Green Apple top.
Once all the leaves are coloured move on to the flowers.
I have used Chameleon Pens and Color Tops RD5 Burgundy base, PK5 Fuchsia mid, PK4 Peony Pink. After blending the pens I start colouring the petals, alternating between the petals to build the colour depth.
Continue colouring until all the images are fully coloured.
Step 7 Add a sentiment, use a strip of black card 5 1/4" by 1/2" and prep with an antistatic bag before stamping in versamark ink your chosen phrase. Sprinkle on white embossing powder and tap away the excess before heating to set.
Mount this on foam pads to the front of your card panel.
To finish, mount your card panel on to a top folding white card blank measuring 5 1/2" by 7", using foam pads.
